Armed Forces Day 2024

Warwick District Council are holding an Armed Forces Day at St Nicholas Park, Warwick on 29 June 2024.  For full details please see below, along with a message from WDC Cllr Pam Redford.

Good afternoon,

This year, 2024, is a special year for our Armed Forces, as it is the 80th Anniversary of the D-Day Landings and the 110th Anniversary of the beginning of WW1. The event will be a thank you to those men and women who now protect our country in these very dangerous and worrying times, and those who did so in the past.

You will see from the leaflet there will be many activities taking place, along with free food and free activities for children, even a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Avro Lancaster (weather permitting). This event is not just for service families, it is an event for the whole community to say a special thanks to our Armed Forces and veterans.
