The Town Council wished to continue their support for this annual event and a grant was provided in the sum of £3,000 as a contribution towards the cost of the health and safety aspects of the day.  The Town Council recognises the amount of effort, time and dedication that goes into organising the carnival and this year led the consideration for reducing the events carbon footprint.  The Town Council were pleased to see an increase in walking and cycling entries and steps being taken to introduce electric vehicles in the procession!
