WFRS take ‘significant steps’ to improve fire protection in Warwickshire

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service announces that the HMICFRS reinspection of the protection team has resulted in the discharging of the cause for concern.

Since the previous inspection the protection team has implemented robust plans, making sure the service has a clear direction and approach to manage its protection activity with a resourced risk-based inspection programme.

Although this is a great step forward for the service, this is only the start of the journey and Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service will continue to move forward with purpose to provide excellence for the communities of Warwickshire.

Customers of our library service are being reminded that exciting changes are coming next month to the important online systems that provide Warwickshire Libraries’ website and app.

The changes are part of plans for the service to deliver a quicker and more user-friendly online experience.

People with experience of adult social care in Warwickshire invited to share views at online event

Residents with experience of adult social care in Warwickshire are invited to get together with a cuppa at the next online ‘Over a Brew’ event taking place on Thursday 3 April 2025, 12.30pm – 2.30pm. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to listen to the reflections and learning from previous events, discuss the importance of relationships in social care and coproduction, and talk about how positive relationships are fundamental to providing the highest quality of care.

Setting young people up for positive futures

Set for the Future covers a number of topics relevant to young people aged 16 and over to equip them with information to get through their exams, make choices about their next steps and thrive.

Celebrate life’s special occasions at The Bloxam Room

Our Registration Service is inviting prospective couples to attend the next open day at The Bloxam Room in Rugby on Sunday 6 April, 11am – 2pm.

The Bloxam Room can provide seating for up to 50 guests for different types of legal ceremonies to take place throughout the year. This includes marriages, civil partnerships, the renewal of vows, and naming ceremonies.

Registrars will be available on the day to answer questions and provide more information.
