Maggie Field is the Town Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer.  She has been in post since 2015 and previously occupied the role of Deputy Town Clerk. Prior to joining the Town Council, Maggie spent over 20 years working in the Public Sector in London and Warwickshire, including roles of Business Manager for HMCTS and Caseworker at the Serious Fraud Office.

As Town Clerk, Maggie has a key role in advising the council, and its members, on governance, ethical and procedural matters and is responsible for implementing Council policy. Maggie prepares and posts notices, is responsible for writing the agenda and minutes, keeps the council’s records, deals with correspondence, and issues the precept.

Maggie is also authorised to sign the Certificate of Living documentation for Kenilworth Residents who are in receipt of a foreign pension. As Responsible Financial Officer, Maggie oversees the proper administration of the Council’s financial affairs, setting and monitoring compliance with financial management standards, providing financial information and preparing the budget.
