Are you prepared for flooding?

A message from WDC Town and Parish Council Champion, Cllr Pam Redford:

Following on from last year and the unprecedented rainfall we experienced last Autumn, and on until February/March this year, WDC are very conscious that some areas of our district have not always had the need to take action against flash flooding or indeed flooding from some of our rivers.

Warwick District Council’s website contains a very useful flooding information pack with information on how to prepare, who to contact and what to do in the event of a flood, and how to recover. This can be found at www.warwickdc.gov.uk/floods

WDC/WCC no longer supply sandbags for use at times of flooding.  Kenilworth Town Council do have a limited supply of empty sandbags for residents use if required.  Please do contact us directly should you need these.  

In Autumn and Winter of 23/24 we had many more areas flooding with some areas that had never flooded before. So, this Winter and Autumn, let’s all try to be prepared.
