Join us for our ‘Living History Afternoon’

On Sunday 24 May 2026, Kenilworth Town Council will be hosting a Spring launch of our exciting new visitor app, Kenilworth Revealed, through a ‘Living History Afternoon’!

Bring the whole family and join us between 2pm and 5pm in Abbey Fields and St Nicholas Church, and learn all about how the canons lived in St Mary’s Abbey in the 1500s.  You can:

• See characters in authentic 1500s costume;
• Have a go on a Horse & Cart ride;
• See real medicinal leeches in action and learn about blood letting;
• Practise your quill writing;
• Join in with the fun & games;
• Have a go at chanting with the canons;
• Dress up in real 1500s costumes;
• Engage in medieval talks with our experts covering, costumes, leeches and vegetables;
• Experience a guided tours of the AR experience, and, don’t forget to collect all six stickers on your quest to uncover St Mary’s Abbey!

No need for tickets or bookings, the event is open to the public and is entirely FREE!
