**SURVEY NOW CLOSED**
Kenilworth Town Council is working with English Heritage and Warwickshire County Council to identify a possible location(s) for a pedestrian crossing on Castle Road. The intention is to improve the route for pedestrians between the Town Centre, Abbey Fields and the Castle, and in particular provide a crossing place or places across Castle Road. At the moment, we are looking at the three possible broad locations for a crossing or crossings, and looking at the feasibility of these. Each has advantages and disadvantages which are being investigated (e.g. visibility and/or the need to add a pathway across historic ruins).
At this early stage, we are interested to hear residents’ and visitors views about whether you would like to see a crossing or crossings, and if so, where you believe the best location is.
POSSIBLE OPTIONS
All locations are approximate at the moment.
Option A – a crossing at Castle Green from near the Queen & Castle to near the car park
Option B – a crossing at the Ford across to the Castle grounds (this option is intended to be in the broad location. It was adjusted slightly on 13 January 2025 to be more accurate south of Finham Brook)
Option C – a crossing at or near the current vehicular entrance to the Castle
We would be grateful if you could take a moment of your time to complete our survey to share your views.
