Alix is married to John and has lived in Kenilworth for over 30 years in all wards of the town, and has two grown-up sons who both attended Kenilworth schools. She has worked in business and, since the 90’s, as a schoolteacher at Rugby High and other local secondary schools. She is now a freelance writer, a volunteer with Walking for Health, a member of the Castle Surgery Patients Group and other community forums. She enjoys and believes in community engagement and has undertaken surveys of local opinion to plan the town more sustainably for future generations. To this end, she has campaigned for a range of more sensible transport options, higher housing standards and improved air quality. Future plans include improving the quality of life for younger sections of society. Her aim is now to practically undertake actions for our future common good.
Alix also manages a large and challenging garden in which she has produced amateur theatrical productions every two years.
Alix has been re-elected to the Town Council having served since 2 May 2019.
