Josh attended Kenilworth School and Castle Sixth Form Centre. He enjoyed a diverse career as a university student, studying each of Medicine, Government and Law. Part of his legal education involved work experience with a variety of judges, providing a significant insight into the civil and criminal justice systems. This motivated Josh to help at the ‘Personal Support Unit’, a charity working with clients who lack fomal legal representation.
Josh is a postman serving not only Kenilworth, but Warwick, Stratford-upon-Avon and North Warwickshire. He was worked with people from all backgrounds. Since 2014, he has also been a volunteer ‘Official Prison Visitor’, doing counselling work with prisoners and helping to prepare them properly for release. He has served, too, on an Independent Monitoring Board, an organisation which scrutinises conditions inside our prisons.
“Being a Kenilworth Town Councillor is an immense privilege”, says Josh. “For me the role is about public service and helping others. Kenilworth is often portrayed as an affluent area, which puts a special responsibility on councillors to ensure all our residents feel valued and supported. I want Kenilworth Town Council to encourage a thriving town for our small businesses and the best possible public transport.”
