Zoe has lived in Kenilworth since 2020 with her husband and two children, who both go to Kenilworth schools. Zoe really enjoys being part of Kenilworth’s local community: she is a member of a local pop choir, is involved with the St Nicholas’ School PTA and can often be found cycling around Kenilworth with her family or walking her dog in Abbey Fields or around the Castle.

Zoe brings her expertise as a barrister to the Town Council. She is a King’s Counsel (KC) with 20 years’ experience of litigation in areas such as planning and climate change, health & social care, welfare rights, and equality & discrimination. She is currently involved in leading a programme of work on behalf of the Bar Council on the transition to net zero.

Zoe has a strong commitment to public participation in democracy for all ages and to the power of community action. She enjoys listening to people on the doorstep and finding common ground on what we need to do to make Kenilworth a better place for everyone living here and visiting.

As a passionate advocate for sustainability, Zoe is keen to take action to protect and enhance Kenilworth’s environment and biodiversity, for the benefit of our community and for its own sake – as a key measure to tackle the climate and biodiversity crisis. Zoe is also committed to improving cycling and walking routes for everyone in and around Kenilworth, and especially to and from the new secondary school.

Before moving to Kenilworth, Zoe was Co-Chair of Governors at a large primary school and led various community groups in her local area.

Zoe was elected to her seat on the Town Council in 2023. She sits on the Cycling Strategy group & the CIL group. She is also a Trustee of the Edwards Coat & Gown Charity.
