Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service (WFRS) is excited to announce its participation in the upcoming Warwickshire Pride festival on Saturday 17 August 2024. A fire engine will feature in the vibrant Pride March down The Parade in Leamington Spa, after which WFRS and many other Warwickshire County Council services will host stands at the festival in the Pump Room Gardens.

Empower mothers and parents to breastfeed in public more freely for World Breastfeeding Week and beyond

This week is World Breastfeeding Week, an annual awareness campaign running from 1 – 7 August. The theme for 2024 is Closing the gap: Breastfeeding support for all.

As part of the awareness week, Warwickshire County Council is promoting Warwickshire Welcomes Breastfeeding, a scheme which enables and empowers mothers and parents to breastfeed, or use breast milk, in public more freely, aiming to support them in their breastfeeding journey and break down barriers.

Multiply your maths skills: Helping to develop skills in the workplace

Warwickshire resident, Michael, recently changed careers to work as an Adult Care Worker and took part in the Multiply programme to develop his maths skills and support his professional development.

Warwickshire County Council’s Multiply programme is delivered by a range of partners across the county and aims to support adults who do not have a GCSE grade C or equivalent in maths to boost their confidence and ability to use maths and numbers effectively in daily life, at home and at work.
