A significant step in the creation of the district’s new country park has been made with the appointment of an award-winning landscape design and planning consultant.
Plincke Landscape Ltd will bring their extensive experience at a crucial stage of the development process for Tachbrook Country Park, working alongside the Council’s project team to prepare detailed plans to meet the strict planning and environmental credentials needed for a high-quality, sustainable green space for the community.
Your refuse, recycling and food waste collections will be a day later than usual next week.
A reminder that there are no garden waste collections until Thursday 9 January 2025. Any garden waste that can’t wait until your next collection can be taken to your local recycling centre.
Anything that won’t fit in your blue-lidded bin can be put in a sturdy box or container and placed next to your bin for collection.
You can also recycle batteries in a sandwich bag or bread bag, and small electrical items that fit into a standard carrier bag. Just place them on top of your bin for collection.
Recycle your real Christmas tree
We can collect real Christmas trees between 9 and 21 January even if you don’t have a garden waste (green bin) subscription. Any tree over 5ft tall must be cut in half. Just leave your tree outside in a visible place that’s not obstructing the highway, and we’ll collect it for you between those dates.
Or, you can donate to the charity Christmas tree collection for The Myton Hospices and Pass the Smile. Registration for the charity collection closes on Monday 6 January at 11.59pm.
If you do have a garden waste collection subscription, you can chop it up and put it in your green bin (collections resume on Thursday 9 January 2025).

The almost 2,800 objects and artworks that have been collected since 1999 have been whittled down to a group of 25 items that reflect the strengths of the collection. 25 artists, including recent winners of the OPEN 2024 have been invited to display and sell artworks.
