Stress can have many different effects, including physical symptoms such as muscle tension, headaches and nausea, or mental symptoms like feeling overwhelmed or difficulty concentrating. It can also cause changes to behaviour such as sleeping too much or too little, being irritable or drinking more alcohol. This can lead to more significant physical or mental issues if not addressed. Stress can also impact personal relationships and the ability to keep up with work, causing problems in other areas of life.

The Government has extended its Household Support Fund for local authorities up to 31 March 2023, and Warwickshire County Council has been allocated around £3.47 million. This funding will largely go towards providing food vouchers to benefits eligible families via the Local Welfare Scheme, and some has been committed to enhancing the scheme as well as providing welfare grants to community groups, homelessness charities and other suitable projects.

Taking place on Monday 21 November at 12.30pm, the webinar will introduce Warwickshire’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Information Advice and Support Service (SENDIAS) and the ways in which the service can support families who are navigating their way through the SEND system.

Businesses can benefit from a new Warwickshire County Council grant scheme offering up to £20,000 towards the cost of installing energy efficiency measures.

The Warwickshire Business Support Green Recovery Grants scheme is designed to support small businesses in the retail, tourism, leisure and hospitality sectors, as well as other sectors impacted by the pandemic.

Warwickshire’s ACL Service provides a huge range of courses for adults across the County who want to make a fresh start with learning, to return to learning or continue on their lifelong learning journey.

The Ofsted inspectors noted that ‘learners, who come from a variety of social and ethnically diverse backgrounds, learn in a respectful and supportive environment. They are challenged to do their best by tutors who are sensitive to their needs. As a result, many learners develop their confidence and resilience.’

Online marketplaces are particularly popular, frequently offering products at lower prices, but these marketplaces can act as a platform for third party sellers to distribute their wares to millions of buyers ‘under one roof.’

The preliminary work includes ground investigations on the embankment adjacent to the Mcdonalds restaurant and exploratory works to identify utility services along the western side of Europa Way. These will both require some vegetation to be cleared with minimal disruption to traffic. However, the footway/cycleway which runs parallel to Mcdonalds restaurant will be closed for five days from 5 December. These works are early steps in the construction programme and will help inform the design and buildability of the scheme, which is due to start next summer.
