In 2022, we will be celebrating Dyslexia Awareness Week with the theme of Breaking Through Barriers.

Dyslexia Awareness Week will take place between 03-09 October 2022. The theme this year will allow us to reflect on the barriers that those living with dyslexia often face, while also focusing on how individuals, organisations and the education system have continued to succeed and break through these obstacles.

Help us to improve the website

Warwickshire County Council is looking for volunteers to help improve the navigation of the website.

Exercises have been created which will help organise the content on the website and include a number of different sections.

The initial exercises involve sorting website content into groups that make sense to you. The whole process should take around 15 minutes.

The feedback volunteers provide will be anonymous and you will not be asked for any personal information.

Get involved in free activities for all ages during Libraries Week!

This October Warwickshire County Council’s library service is taking part in Libraries Week, an annual celebration of everything that libraries across the country have to offer.

The event showcases the innovative activities and services that libraries readily provide each year, and how they work towards supporting their local communities.

The week-long event, which will be jam-packed full of activities to suit all ages, will be taking place in Warwickshire Libraries from Monday 3 to Sunday 9 October 2022.

World Mental Health Day

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on 10 October every year.

The theme of 2022’s World Mental Health Day, set by the World Federation for Mental Health, is ‘Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority‘.

World Mental Health Day is a chance to talk about mental health in general, how we need to look after it, and how important it is to talk about things and get help if you are struggling.

Child Friendly Warwickshire’s Friend-tenary!

Less than a year after launching, Child Friendly Warwickshire can now boast over 100 friends across the county.

As of early September, more than 95 local businesses and organisations had signed up to help create a child friendly Warwickshire – a big thank you to all these fantastic friends and others who are supporting children and young people throughout Warwickshire and beyond!

Warwickshire County Council commits to cost of living support

Warwickshire County Council has confirmed its commitment to ensuring that residents have access to the support and assistance they need to help with the steep costs of living.

As the costs of necessities such as food and heating continue to increase, many people are struggling to keep up with their rising household costs. In response, Warwickshire County Council will be considering a range of options to supplement the help already available.

Warwickshire 11+ Results and Applying for Secondary School – a WCC Webinar
